About The Position

Benchmark Therapy and Rehab, a large therapy practice in Ohio, is looking for a full-time and consistent PRN COTA to join our practice. The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) shall be directly supervised by an OT and Therapy Coordinator. Responsibilities include assisting occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their home, implementing treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist, helping patients develop or regain daily living skills and functional abilities in their home setting, monitoring and documenting patient progress during therapy sessions, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, and educating patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises. A license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position. Skills needed include strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, experience in a home care setting is a plus, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their caregivers and healthcare team members, the ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment, strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during therapy sessions, and the ability to create and manage your own schedule.

Requirements

  • License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
  • Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients , their caregivers and healthcare team members
  • Ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment.
