About The Position

Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of California
- Strong documentation and computer skills (Casamba, PointClickCare preferred)
- Meets all continuing education requirements and maintains license in good standing
Responsibilities
- Provide treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and recertification documentation per state and OT Board requirements
- Follow the physician treatment plan and facility protocols
- Assist with training Restorative Aides as needed
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising OT and care team
- Participate in in-service training and interdisciplinary meetings
- Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver strategies
- Support discharge planning
- Help maintain a clean and organized therapy space
- Report equipment issues to ensure safe, proper functioning
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, and staff
