About The Position
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides home health therapy services to patients in Clark County, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Working under the supervision and direction of a licensed occupational therapist, the COTA delivers individualized care to help patients improve independence, safety, and quality of life in their homes. This role offers one-on-one patient care within a supportive, collaborative team and flexible scheduling.
Requirements
- Current Ohio COTA license.
- Current CPR and/or BLS certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Home health experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the established plan of care under the direction of a licensed OT.
- Help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and functional mobility.
- Educate patients and caregivers about therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safe equipment use.
- Observe, document, and report patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising OT.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
