About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced therapists while helping residents improve independence and quality of life in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, upper extremity strengthening, coordination, and balance
- Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to maximize resident outcomes
- Monitor progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety strategies
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
