About The Position

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve at Oak Crossing, Essentia Health's highly rated long-term care facility in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. This role is responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. The position involves providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, recognizing and dealing with the problems of the aging process, and promptly reporting changes in resident condition to the shift nurse. Maintaining a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents is crucial. The role also requires awareness of and prevention of the abuse of vulnerable adults and identification of safety hazards and emergency situations with corrective actions.

Requirements

• Certified as a CNA with the state of Minnesota within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities
