About The Position

As a CNA in our Acute Care Department, you'll work closely with nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care across a variety of hospital settings. Your role will be essential in helping patients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while receiving treatment.

Requirements

  • Active CNA certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

  • Active CNA certification
  • Previous healthcare or patient care experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care needs
  • Support mobility activities, including transfers, ambulation, and repositioning
  • Help patients with meals, hydration, and daily comfort measures
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and visitors
  • Obtain and document vital signs
  • Monitor and report observations to nursing staff
  • Record intake and output information
  • Collect specimens as directed
  • Assist with cardiac monitoring and EKG-related tasks
  • Perform delegated patient care activities within scope of training
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
  • Participate in shift communication and care team discussions
  • Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to nursing staff
  • Foster positive working relationships with coworkers and providers
  • Maintain patient care supplies and equipment
  • Assist with unit organization and readiness
  • Participate in education, training, and staff meetings
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and service excellence
