About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department. This position is PRN, Nights, with 12-hour shifts. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, this position performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit. It serves as the focal communication source at the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments, and physicians. The CNA also assists staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the hospital's established policies and procedures. This employee demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to adequately assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to provide age-specific needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent
• Valid CNA License in the State of Indiana
• CPR
• Customer Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Demonstration of basic knowledge of patient care and basic ADLs
• Required use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner)
• Patient Confidentiality
• Teamwork
