Performs patient care to patients under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. This role is located at Health Central Ocoee and is a Variable Full Time Day shift position. The Certified Nursing Assistant (NA II) assists patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs. They provide routine treatments, maintain a safe and organized patient environment, and ensure the safety and security of patients, families, and staff. The role also involves assuring patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality, following standard precautions, and assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Key responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, documenting patient information, communicating patient status and concerns to the RN, participating in patient rounding, and providing exceptional service. The CNA demonstrates competency in unit-specific skills, maintains a clean nursing unit, handles incoming calls and patient requests, and transports items, equipment, and medications. They must maintain regular attendance and compliance with all policies and procedures. Additional functions include supporting planned changes, participating in performance improvement activities, demonstrating awareness of legal issues and patient rights, utilizing time and resources effectively, attending staff meetings, completing mandatory training, and providing age-appropriate care based on patient assessment.
