Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA
About The Position
Otterbein is seeking compassionate, skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNAs) to provide person-centered care in a community that values residents’ choices and employees’ expertise. The role supports residents with daily living, helps them remain comfortable and as independent as possible, and provides services under the supervision of a nurse. Positions are available on full-time first shift, part-time first shift, full-time second shift, and PRN schedules. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and increases with experience. Shift differentials are $3.00 for second shift and $1.50 for third shift. Otterbein is a nonprofit senior housing and health and human services organization serving Ohio and Indiana.
Requirements
- CNA/STNA certification required in the State of Ohio.
- Must have passed the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry, or be prepared to test within 120 days.
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks, including bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
- Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
- Help residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible in their daily lives.
- Complete care documentation accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and share meals with them.
- Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
- Perform other duties as needs arise or as assigned.
