About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care. The role also helps maintain a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This is a full-time, night-shift position in Post Partum/Mother Baby.

Requirements

• High school graduation or one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant.
• Successful completion of a CNA course/certification.
• Thorough knowledge of basic nursing functions to meet patients’ activities-of-daily-living needs.
• Ability to work rapidly under stressful situations with many interruptions.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CNA certification from the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of related work experience is preferred.
• Point-of-care glucometer experience is preferred; training is provided upon hire.
