CNA (Per Diem/PRN)
About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families within a supportive, faith-based community focused on teamwork, respect, and service. The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The position also supports activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA helps keep resident rooms clean and orderly, assists with resident laundry, and prepares residents for meals and helps serve and feed them. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the state's Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
