About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create a safe, orderly, and supportive living environment. The position may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The work includes assisting residents with basic personal care, as well as supporting activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing the required test.
- Listed on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
- Assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs as they arise.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
