About The Position
Join BrightStar Care of North Miami as a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and become part of a supportive team dedicated to helping seniors and older adults live safely, comfortably, and independently at home. We offer flexible scheduling for full-time, part-time, weekend, evening, or live-in opportunities designed to work around your life. You will provide compassionate, dependable support to clients in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
- Valid Florida CNA certification/license in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CPR certification
- Physical and negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Successful completion of required drug screening and motor vehicle background screening
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
- Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, pharmacies, and other outings
- Assist clients with active and passive mobility exercises according to their plan of care
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the Director of Nursing
- Provide companionship and day-to-day assistance while helping clients maintain their independence
