About The Position

Provides direct care to residents under the supervision of the nurse. This description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of position scope.

Requirements

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work independently, make good observations and have good reporting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a nursing assistant or working with the elderly is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsive to resident needs and preferences. Considers resident satisfaction a priority.
• Provides direct care and support for the care needs of the resident according the Nursing Care Plan. Grooming includes:
• Provides for the maintenance and rehabilitative needs of the residents according to the Nursing Care Plan. Maintenance rehabilitative needs include:
• Communication in a manner that enables the resident to understand and be understood.
• Provides direct assistance to the licensed staff through the gathering, reporting and documenting of care provided.
• All other duties as assigned.
