About The Position

Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic and intermediate nursing care to an assigned group of patients, based on competence. The Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages. The position requires completing established competencies within the designated introductory period, along with other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Possess a current state or national nurse’s aide certification, or certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG technician, or in another related field.
• Obtain BLS through an approved American Heart Association Training Center.
