Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - ER FT night
About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to an assigned group of patients. Care is delivered in accordance with the clinical needs of the unit and the age and condition of its patients. The Emergency Unit provides care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients and high-risk adults. Other units described include general nursing, special care, maternal-child, nursery, pediatric, GI Lab, chemical dependency, psychiatric, and surgical services. The employee completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned. This position is listed as full-time night shift in the Emergency Room.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
- Complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire or transfer to the position.
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course.
- Six months of experience in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Provide care in the Emergency Unit to presenting patients of all ages, including pediatric patients and high-risk adults.
- Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
