About The Position

Morgantown Care & Rehabilitation Center is a 122-bed skilled nursing facility offering inpatient and outpatient therapy and Rehab to Home services. It is part of Signature HealthCARE, a family-based healthcare company providing integrated services across multiple states, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted and memory care, and home-based services. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps maintain a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment. The role follows facility policies and procedures, state regulations, and each resident’s plan of care. This position is for the 2 p.m.–10 p.m. shift. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently, demonstrate personal integrity, and work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Help promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and regularly maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orienting and training other staff as requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
