About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Med-Surg team in a small rural critical access hospital. The role involves providing high-quality, compassionate patient care. Staff typically care for 4 to 5 acute patients at a time, with a maximum of 10 patients. The schedule is 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, approximately 36 hours per week, with availability required every other weekend and participation in a holiday rotation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Previous experience in a critical access hospital (CAH) setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Registration with the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry (KDADS).
- Availability to work every other weekend and participate in a holiday rotation.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
- Support nursing staff in maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in implementing patient care plans.
