About The Position

This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Med Surg department at ASV Williamsport in Williamsport, IN. The position is full-time, working nights from 6:30 PM to 7 AM, with alternating weekends and holidays. The CNA will assist with patient care activities, procedures under the supervision of an RN, and personal care including activities of daily living and transfers. They will also report patient condition changes to nursing staff, maintain room cleanliness, and monitor the environment for safety hazards.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist with patients/participants care activities.
Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Accommodate patients/participants with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assist with keeping patients/participants rooms clean and orderly.
Monitor patients/participants environment for safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate, as needed.
