About The Position

Maple Dell Health and Rehabilitation is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide high-level care to residents and support their wellness, comfort, and safety while they live at the facility. The role includes training and orientation to long-term care and offers the opportunity to contribute to a team focused on compassionate, high-quality care and continual improvement.

Requirements

Hold an active Utah CNA certificate; the qualifications section also states that a CNA must be in good standing with the state and that no disciplinary action may be in effect against the certification.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have current CPR/BLS certification.
Have a current Food Handler Permit when applicable.
Possess clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to engage and relate positively to residents and their families.
Work well in a team environment.
Be energetic, positive, professional, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or assisted living facility (ALF); preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

Provide kind and compassionate care to residents.
Answer residents’ call lights and determine their needs.
Turn and reposition residents in bed.
Provide physical support with daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
