About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides hands-on care and service to residents who need assistance at Maplewood at Orange, a senior living community in Orange, Connecticut. The role supports residents’ care needs, engagement, safety, and comfort while working closely with the nursing team. This is a full-time position on the 7 a.m.–3 p.m. shift.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.
• Must complete pre-employment screening, including a background check, drug screening, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility.
• Engage residents through interaction and conversation, programs, and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure residents’ care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and help maintain residents’ rooms.
