Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Clinical Decision Unit 0.9 FTE 12 hour Nights
About The Position
The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is a 15-bed, outpatient specialty area within the hospital, also known as an observation unit. It is a place where a patient’s health can be monitored when they do not meet the requirements for inpatient hospitalization yet require further observation before they go home. The unit allows patients to rest in a comfortable, private healing space and to stay longer than a traditional emergency room visit. It is designed for patients who need tests or short-term treatments. Patients in this unit benefit from a quick assessment of their condition, less time in the hospital, a lower cost of care, and a better experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or expired on registry
- Strong interest in customer service
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Passionate about providing excellent patient care
- Able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the staff and patients on the unit.
- Work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients.
- Complete clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.
