About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one geriatric home care. This role involves working in clients' homes within their neighborhood, delivering personal care, household support, and companion care services. The primary goal is to help adults maintain safety and independence at home by following a written plan of care developed by a registered nurse. BAYADA is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality care and ensuring employee satisfaction.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of work experience
- Active CNA license registered with North Carolina in good standing
- Compliant with Bayada policy needed for home care
Responsibilities
- Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse
- Providing personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home
- Assisting with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
- Providing household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Assisting with range of motion/exercises
- Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
- Providing medication reminders
