About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide hands-on nursing care focused on residents’ daily care needs and personal hygiene. You will monitor the health conditions of individuals served and help ensure they receive safe, quality support. The role also includes assistance with daily living, community and social integration, household activities, meals, resident activities, and admissions and discharges. You will maintain appropriate documentation, respond to emergencies as needed, and participate in team meetings and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of a CNA certification program.
• Current CNA certification issued by the state relevant to the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
• Reliable and responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
• Commitment to quality in all work.

Nice To Haves

• One year of CNA experience, preferably with medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services are provided.
• Assist or supervise individuals with daily living, personal care, and community and social integration.
• Help maintain safe, quality supports for individuals served.
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Use equipment correctly and safely.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents, and incidents to a supervisor.
• Maintain current progress notes and other appropriate documentation.
• Assist with resident activity programs, including off-site outings and appointments.
• Assist with household activities and keeping the residence tidy and clean.
• Assist with meal preparation and mealtimes.
• Prepare rooms for new resident admissions, obtaining equipment and supplies as needed.
• Prepare residents for discharge.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and training as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat others with dignity and respect.
