Certified Nursing Assistants care for patients in the long-term care setting. CNA’s provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. They administer treatments as prescribed within standard nursing practice guidelines and in full compliance with established nursing protocols. CNAs promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents, and assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure. They must be able to communicate effectively with providers and all levels of Philip Health Services, Inc. staff, and demonstrate a professional attitude, in all situations; the ability to see the patient as a unique individual, rather than a task to complete.
