Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA
About The Position
Otterbein is seeking a skilled, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care in its Springboro Small House Neighborhood. The role supports residents with daily activities and helps them feel comfortable and as independent as possible. CNAs provide support services under the supervision of a nurse and document care accurately and promptly. The position may also involve planning and cooking residents’ favorite foods, sharing meals with them, doing laundry and light housekeeping, and performing other assigned duties. Full-time and part-time schedules are offered across first, second, and third shifts.
Requirements
- Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio.
- Pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- Have good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks, including bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
- Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
- Help residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible in their daily lives.
- Document care accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and eat meals with them.
- Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
- Perform other duties as needs arise or as assigned.
