Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Care for our community, and your career. This position assists with tasks to care for our residents, maintains a resident’s room with bed making, tidy up, emptying linen bags. It also involves washing resident’s hands and face, assisting with nail and hair care, passing trays, passing fluids, entering consumption records, assisting with activities, and assisting ambulatory residents who need queuing. The role requires the ability to document basic resident observations, write legibly, and accurately document the type of care given. Familiarity with equipment used to move residents, take vital signs, and document is necessary. The ability to understand printed health-related material is also required.
Requirements
- One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy.
- Ability to work under stress and complete duties sometimes with numerous interruptions.
- Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.
- Must be able to write legibly.
- Ability to understand printed health related material.
- Graduated from Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
- NYS Certified.
Nice To Haves
- BLS certification preferred.
