Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
- A compassionate and caring attitude.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide safe and respectful resident care.
- Commitment to maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as directed.
- Take and accurately record vital signs and other resident information.
- Assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Promote resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence.
- Develop positive and meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
- Follow all Wheat State Manor policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection-control practices.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the Wheat State Manor team.
- Provide care with patience, kindness, professionalism, and compassion.
