Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
  • A compassionate and caring attitude.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide safe and respectful resident care.
  • Commitment to maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to residents.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as directed.
  • Take and accurately record vital signs and other resident information.
  • Assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Promote resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence.
  • Develop positive and meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Follow all Wheat State Manor policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection-control practices.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the Wheat State Manor team.
  • Provide care with patience, kindness, professionalism, and compassion.
