About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play an essential role in supporting individuals by providing compassionate care and promoting independence in a supportive environment. This role involves monitoring health and well-being, assisting with daily living activities, supporting financial management and community involvement, maintaining a safe environment, assisting with activities and appointments, documenting care, and helping with household responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Compassionate attitude and commitment to providing high-quality care
Nice To Haves
- At least one (1) year of CNA experience preferred, ideally supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in hospital, residential, clinical, or long-term care settings
Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and well-being of individuals served and report any changes to the appropriate medical staff
- Provide assistance, supervision, and training with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, and mobility support
- Support individuals with financial management, community involvement, and social interaction
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for individuals receiving care
- Assist with activity programs, including community outings and medical appointments
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and care records
- Assist with household responsibilities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
