About The Position

Apex Staffing Services LLC is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for ongoing assignments at skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities across downstate New York. We offer stable full-time work, flexible per diem shifts, and contract assignments.

Requirements

• Active NY State CNA certification in good standing (verifiable through NY State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete pre-assignment health screening (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, annual flu, COVID-19 as facility requires)
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, and respect for residents and their families
• Reliable transportation to assignment locations

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of SNF or long-term-care experience
• Experience with EMR documentation systems (PointClickCare, MatrixCare, etc.)
• Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Yiddish, Haitian Creole, Bengali, or other languages commonly spoken)
• Available for weekend and overnight shifts

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, feeding
• Taking and recording vital signs
• Repositioning residents per facility protocols to prevent pressure injuries
• Reporting changes in resident condition to the charge nurse
• Documenting care accurately in the facility's medical record system
• Supporting the nursing team and rehabilitation staff with resident care plans
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
