About The Position

UF Health Rehab Hospital, affiliated with Select Medical, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in Gainesville, Florida. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

This is a per diem/PRN position with 12-hour day or night shifts, 7–7. Compensation is $21.00 per hour. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and the possibility of future full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year, and may use the employee assistance program.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state.
• Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
