Requirements

Active certification on the Maine CNA Registry in good standing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
Basic computer proficiency
Sound judgment and commitment to resident confidentiality
Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and dining assistance
Assisting residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe techniques
Helping residents prepare for the evening and bedtime routines
Monitoring residents and promptly reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
Encouraging independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
Building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
