About The Position
Bear Canyon Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality resident care. The role supports residents with daily living activities, promotes their comfort and safety, and assists the nursing team in delivering quality care. This is a full-time contract position for 14 weeks, with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and 36 guaranteed hours per week. The shift runs from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and includes a 30-minute meal break. The position is a new opening.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification or state-required credential for the facility location.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and attentive approach to resident care.
- Ability to perform assigned physical duties safely.
- Ability to complete required background checks and facility credentialing.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned.
- Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and report concerns to nursing staff.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Follow infection-control procedures and facility safety policies.
- Respect resident privacy, dignity, and individual care plans.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members.
