About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant for its Telemetry floor. The department serves patients ages 16 to over 100, primarily with cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke conditions, or rapid responses from other hospital departments. It operates as a progressive care unit and serves approximately 650 patients monthly. The work environment is fast-paced and may suit candidates hoping to advance their careers. The typical schedule is three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Colleagues must be flexible to work a varied schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The role supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination. It also involves nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort, performed under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from the AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for assigned age groups: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.
