Requirements

  • One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work under stress and complete duties sometimes with numerous interruptions.
  • Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.
  • Ability to understand printed health related material.
  • Graduated from Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
  • NYS Certified.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with tasks to care for our residents.
  • Maintains a resident’s room with bed making, tidy up, emptying linen bags.
  • Wash resident’s hands and face, assist with nail and hair care, passing trays, passing fluids, entering consumption records, assisting with activities, assisting ambulatory resident who needs queuing.
  • Ability to document basic resident observations.
  • Must be able to write legibly and be able to accurately document the type of care given.
  • Must be familiar with equipment used to move residents, take vital signs and document.
  • Any other associated duties as assigned.
