About The Position
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) delivers quality complex care services, focusing on maximizing residents’ individual capabilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. The role provides routine daily nursing care and/or administers medications and treatments in a manner that assures patient safety and well-being. HealthBridge Children’s Hospital provides complex care, transitional care, and high-intensity rehabilitation for patients recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other medically complex illnesses requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care. Its care teams include physicians, nursing staff, and physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, and neuropsychological therapists.
Requirements
- Communicate and function productively using reasoning skills and good judgment.
- Physically lift 35 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Follow all policies and procedures for medication administration and delivery.
- Ensure the medication cart is properly transferred between shifts.
- Lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents.
- Assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting.
- Accurately document and chart patient care.
- Respond to call lights promptly and courteously.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward residents and staff.
