About The Position

Join the Medical Surgical Team at Moab Regional Hospital as a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant. CNAs are an essential part of the inpatient care team and work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, providing a variety of care services to patients ranging from newborns to geriatric patients with a wide range of acuities and needs. This role offers an opportunity for professional growth and development and to expand your skill set. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with an anticipated days and nights schedule. Starting pay is $20–$28.48 per hour, depending on experience (DOE). The role requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check. Requirements

Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with clinical and non-clinical individuals.
Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to respond quickly to unexpected changes.
Working knowledge of English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Ability to work confidentially.
Reliability and punctuality with the work schedule.
Ability to stand, walk, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls for the duration of a shift, up to 12 hours at a time.
Manual dexterity and coordination for more than 50% of the time while on duty.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

Current CNA or EMT license in the State of Utah, or prior work experience in a similar role in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of care services to inpatients, from newborns to geriatric patients with varied acuities and needs.
Work under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
Respond quickly when situations change unexpectedly.
Accept other duties as assigned.
