About The Position

Sunshine Cares is seeking a dependable and caring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing Private Duty Home Care team. Unlike working in a facility, our caregivers provide personalized, one-on-one care that allows clients to continue living where they are happiest-their own home. As a CNA with Sunshine Cares, you will travel to clients' homes throughout Cache and Box Elder Counties to provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities. Every client has unique needs, and you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through individualized, relationship-focused care.

Requirements

Current Utah Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred. Applicants without certification must successfully complete Nurse's Aide certification within four months of hire.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with dependable transportation.
Current automobile insurance.
Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the care team.

Nice To Haves

Previous home health, assisted living, hospice, or skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality personal care to clients in their homes.
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Help clients safely transfer, ambulate, and reposition.
Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when needed.
Measure and document vital signs, weight, intake, and output as assigned.
Observe clients for changes in physical or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment.
Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.
Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, nurses, and supervisors.
