About The Position

Mechanicsville Specialty Care, a 39-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Mechanicsville, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a full-time weekend package. The role supports residents through daily care, health monitoring, companionship, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. The CNA works with residents, their families, and the healthcare team while following infection control protocols. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.

Requirements

• Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or be able to activate certification.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
