About The Position
Beloit Health System is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Beloit Regional Hospice Team in Beloit, Wisconsin. The role provides personal and supportive care to patients and their families according to each patient's plan of care and under the direction of the RN Case Manager. The position is on first shift, scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. It is benefits eligible.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification, including current Illinois and Wisconsin CNA certifications.
- Ability to perform simple math functions.
- CPR certification within three months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Prior home health or hospice experience.
Responsibilities
- Take and accurately record vital signs in a timely manner, and report unusual signs and symptoms to appropriate personnel.
- Provide personal hygiene care, including bathing, oral care, hair and nail grooming, and back rubs; maintain a clean and safe environment and document care.
- Assist patients with nutritional needs and document appropriately in the nursing record.
- Assist patients with ambulation and transport by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed while maintaining patient safety.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, healthcare, and physician-related information and perform work duties professionally.
