About The Position
We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) ready to step into a role that is all about making a difference? Mennonite Village is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that has been serving Mid-Willamette Valley for over 78 years. Our purpose is to be a community where residents live their best lives; we help them do this by living our values are Integrity, Excellence, and Respect everyday. Mennonite Home is our Skilled Nursing department. This department consists of 42 skilled nursing beds on 2 floors. We provide 24-hour post-op, short-term, and long-term services and support.
Requirements
- Effective engaging and communicating with our residents.
- Patience, tact and a willingness to navigate challenging situations.
- Strong listening skills and a professional approach to conflict resolution.
- Understanding resident rights and dignity.
- Valid CNA certification in Oregon required in the first 120 days of employment.
- CPR/AED certification required in the first 120 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Long-term care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing essential care services that prioritize both the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADL).
- Monitoring health statuses.
- Ensuring safety during care procedures.
- Keeping accurate documentation.
- Encouraging residents to participate in engaging activities, fostering a lively atmosphere that promotes joy and connection.
- Enhancing residents' quality of life through compassionate care and professionalism.
