About The Position

We have plenty of work for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) at the National Institute of Research (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. CNAs with Maryland Certification are eligible for these positions. This is a 13-week contract position with a Day/Night Rotation, requiring 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed. The pay rate is $18 per hour. The candidate will manage a patient assignment on the assigned patient care unit. Selected candidates will receive training on our Patient Care Technician competencies and Crisis Prevention Training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA in a hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Current unrestricted Maryland CNA certification

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent care to patients
• Respond to call lights
• Assist nurses on unit
• Answer phones and do light administrative duties
• Transport patients
• Perform ADLs, Accu-checks, bladder scans, administer medications, chart
