About The Position

Marshall's Healthcare is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for its limited-availability Weekend Warrior Program in the nursing department. The role involves caring for and supporting residents while working 26 consecutive weekends, a commitment lasting six months. Employees may work either a minimum of three 12-hour shifts or two 16-hour shifts per weekend. The weekend window runs from Friday at 6:30 AM through Monday at 7:00 PM. Weekend hours receive a $3.00-per-hour premium differential in addition to any regular weekend differentials.

Requirements

• Active placement on the Maine C.N.A. Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy/physiology.
• Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills, and a friendly bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support nutrition by serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
• Monitor health by checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Document care accurately and maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality.
