About The Position

The Pines at Placerville is seeking a dedicated and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our full-time NOC team. This role is crucial for ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night, while also preparing residents and the unit for the morning shift. As a NOC CNA, you will provide direct resident care and support throughout the overnight shift in accordance with individualized care plans, facility policies, and direction from nursing staff. You will help maintain resident comfort, dignity, safety, and well-being while monitoring residents throughout the night. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive to detail, able to prioritize tasks, and comfortable working as part of a team while also managing responsibilities independently.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of California
  • Dependable and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work effectively during overnight hours
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance from nursing staff
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care plans, policies, and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining resident dignity, safety, and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification preferred
  • Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior care experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care and assistance with activities of daily living, including toileting, incontinence care, hygiene, dressing, grooming, and repositioning
  • Complete scheduled overnight rounds and monitor residents for safety and comfort
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to resident call lights and requests for assistance
  • Reposition residents and provide pressure-relief measures as directed by care plans
  • Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other required observations
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and promptly report concerns to the nurse
  • Assist residents with nighttime routines and prepare residents for the morning
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment throughout the overnight shift
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided and resident observations
  • Follow individualized care plans, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and facility policies
  • Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and other care-related activities as assigned
  • Communicate relevant resident information effectively with the nurse and incoming shift
  • Protect resident privacy, dignity, rights, and confidentiality at all times
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to provide consistent, high-quality resident care
  • Complete assigned duties and shift responsibilities before the end of the scheduled shift
