About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on our day shift, you'll help our residents start their day with comfort, dignity, and the support they need to live as independently as possible. If you're a compassionate caregiver who takes pride in making a difference in the lives of others, we'd love to have you join our team. As a first shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll provide hands-on care to residents in a designated neighborhood, which may include long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care. You'll work alongside nurses and other members of the care team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and person-centered care.

Requirements

• Active certification on the Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Registry in good standing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Helping residents safely transfer, reposition, and ambulate
• Monitoring residents and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
• Encouraging resident independence and participation in daily routines
• Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Developing positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers
