About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its team at Calhoun Correctional Institution in Blountstown, Florida. The CNA works with medical providers to work up and prepare their patients, and performs direct patient care for incarcerated individuals under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff. Care includes supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitoring vital signs. The position is on the night shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and pays $20 per hour. Phlebotomy certification is preferred. Centurion provides medical and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. The company also contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide healthcare services in correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Appropriate and active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification.
One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional settings.
