About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Milwaukie Hospital assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the RN’s direct supervision. The role contributes to a high-functioning team and supports patient-focused, whole-person care. This opening is 0.9 FTE on the night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

• One year of experience as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high-functioning team.
• Assist the RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
