About The Position

Avante at Melbourne is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The role also helps maintain a positive physical, social, and psychological environment for residents. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with shifts listed as 7 a.m.–3 p.m. for full-time and part-time, and 3 p.m.–11 p.m. and 11 p.m.–7 a.m. for part-time.

Requirements

Be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet applicable federal and state certification requirements, or be in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have completed high school or a GED equivalent, or otherwise demonstrate the ability to read and write and follow oral commands in English.
Have previous experience or completion of an appropriate training course.
Have a positive attitude toward elderly people.
Be eligible for clearance through the abuse registry and Department of Law Enforcement.
Complete background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
