About The Position

Always Best Care–Atlanta is seeking a highly experienced, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to cover open shifts, last-minute call-outs, urgent staffing needs, and new client starts of care throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding communities. The role involves providing hands-on care, adapting to different client needs, and working independently in varied home environments. The CNA must recognize and communicate when a client's actual care needs or home environment differ from what was initially reported. This is a strictly PRN, as-needed position with no guaranteed or set hours. Assignments depend on staffing and client-care needs and available coverage opportunities. Daily assignments are sent no later than 7:30 AM. The position pays $17 per hour and requires travel to client homes throughout the service area, including Atlanta, Conyers, Covington, Ellenwood, Decatur, Stone Mountain, Monroe, Lawrenceville, Loganville, College Park, Fayetteville, and surrounding communities.

Requirements

  • Substantial hands-on caregiving experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Hoyer lifts and other mechanical lifts and transfer equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of proper CNA protocols and safe transfer procedures.
  • Current, unexpired CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Recent, clear TB test result from within the past year.
  • If providing a BLS certificate, it must explicitly state that it covers First Aid; BLS alone does not satisfy the CPR and First Aid requirement unless First Aid coverage is indicated.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
  • Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to pass the required background check.

  • Safely assist with mobility, transfers, and mechanical lifting equipment, including Hoyer lifts.
  • Follow proper CNA protocols, infection control practices, and safe caregiving procedures.
  • Recognize and report changes in client condition, safety concerns, and differences between reported and observed care needs.
  • Check in with clients and caregivers as assigned to support satisfaction and quality of care.
  • Communicate client or caregiver concerns to the office when follow-up is needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with office staff, clients, and families.
