About The Position

Fairmount Homes is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the evening shift. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The role involves providing the highest standard of care for elderly residents, collaborating with other professional caregivers, and enhancing the lives of residents and their families. Fairmount Homes is a 5-star facility located on a beautiful 50+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA, founded on Christ’s love and Mennonite values.

Requirements

• CNA certification or in the process of obtaining certification
• Required current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Have a sincere desire to work with older adults and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of others.
• Kind, respectful, patient and cheerful when engaging with residents, co-workers, families, and community.
• Demonstrate a sincere teamwork approach to resident care.
• Support the mission, philosophy and values of Fairmount.

Responsibilities

• Assist each resident with activities of daily living. This includes eating, bathing, elimination, ambulation, and positioning according to policy.
• Report pertinent information and/or changes in residents' conditions promptly to the charge nurse.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, calorie counts, intake, and output accurately.
• Present each resident with a clean and neat appearance.
